The Staff Recruitment Commission(SSC) has now released a notification regarding the Senior Secretariat Assistant and Upper Division Clerk Grade Limited Departmental Competitive Examination 2024. Eligible and interested candidates can take this examination. Applications are allowed till April 10. These examinations will be held in the months of May and June.
The Staff Recruitment Commission(SSC) has now released the notification for the 2024 Senior Secretariat Assistant and Upper Division Clerk Grade Limited Departmental Competitive Examination for the clerical services of central ministries. This examination is being conducted to fill a total of 70 posts. The pay scale for these posts is Rs.25,500- 81,100 as per Pay Level 4. Eligible and interested candidates can apply.

Qualifications to take the exam
- Candidates who have been appointed to the posts of full-time Junior Secretariat Assistant / Lower Division Clerk can apply.
- This is a limited departmental exam, which allows those who are in the lower level of government posts to appear for the departmental exam for the next level post, qualify and get promoted to the post.
- For example, this is also like the departmental exams conducted by KPSC.
- Must have served as a Lower Division Clerk for at least 5 years.
- Maximum age should not exceed 50 years.
- Age relaxation of 5 years will be applicable for SC / ST candidates.
Test method
Part I: The exam will be of 50 questions of 50 marks and will last for three hours. After that, documents and service efficiency will be evaluated for 100 marks.
